Meet Jessie’s Foster Friends: Gunner & Scout

If you know me, you know I love my pets. They have always been a source of inspiration for my artwork. Today I have a new duo as my muse, and I hope they inspire you too. Hopefully, we can find the two of them a great furrever home.

drumroll please……….

I would like to introduce you to my new friends, Gunner and Scout!

Scout: Pointy Ears; Gunner: Floppy Ears

These five-year-old purebred siblings are originally from South Carolina. Through no fault of their own, these lovable creatures needed immediate rehoming. Rehoming one shepherd is no easy feat, let alone two, so I stepped in to provide immediate fostering assistance. Now I’m on the hunt to find them the perfect home.

Hi, I’m Scout

  • 5 y/o Purebred German Shepherd

  • Male (Neutered)

  • Good temperament

  • Crate-trained & House-trained

  • Knows basic commands

  • Loves to play fetch and tag

  • Very active & prefers to be outdoors

  • Loves to be with his owners

  • People friendly & have been around kids (with caution)

  • Well-behaved on a leash

  • Up-to-date on vaccines

Inside the house, they love to be wherever their owner is. If you’re lounging on the couch, Gunner will lay at your feet. If you’re cleaning, Scout will want to be involved in whatever task you’re doing.

Together outside, they like to feed off each other’s energy. Scout tends to follow Gunner’s lead, so if Gunner reacts, Scout will also react. They do love a yard to play fetch in (even more than going for a walk) and could play there all day if it ever stopped raining in Jersey.

Overall, these dogs are wonderful and well-behaved. In the few short weeks I’ve spent with them, I have fallen in love. If I had a permanent space with the yard they needed, I would keep them myself. Any shepherd lover would adore them. They would do best as the only pets in the home with an experienced family/couple who can give them the attention they deserve.

I really want them to go to a home that is right for them. If you are interested in adopting them, please email me at jess@jessierosedesigns.com or click the button below for more information.
